Sushant Singh Rajput, a few months ago had announced that he would be working on a film based on Jaswant Singh Rawat, a martyr during the battle of Nuranang in 1962.
What is interesting is that though the film has been announced it seems like a difficult road ahead. And that has nothing to with the actual film but the family members of Rawat. One of his kin sold the rights of the biopic to Vikram Malhotra’s Abundatia Entertainment who decided to make the film with Sushant. It was later discovered that another kind of Rawat’s had also sold the rights and that film has already been made as 72 Hours. Now apparently the filmmakers of the film are fighting a case against the Rifleman team.
Abudantia spokesperson told an entertainment website that Rifleman was very much on track and that any news that suggested the contrary was false. With regards to the legal issues, the spokesperson said that appropriate action was being taken.
While we wait for official updates on the film, you stay tuned to Box Office India.
