Rituparna Sengupta starrer Mukherjee Dar Bou to hit screens on Women's Day

Known for its unique concept and out of the box films, Windows Film Production is coming yet again with another slice of life film titled Mukherjee Dar Bou. The film details a woman’s journey of coming out from their husband or father’s identity. It's an ode to all the women who are struggling hard every day for their own identity which is shadowed by either their husbands or fathers.

The makers of the film initiated a small campaign where women were asked about where their husband and father’s houses are respectively. While all the women had an answer to this question, they could not find an answer to where they belong and where their own houses are. Mukherjee Dar Bou is an ode to all the women who have the same question but no answer.

Directed by debutante Pritha Chakraborty and presented by Nandita Roy, the film stars Rituparna Sengupta. Koneenica Bandyopadhyay and veteran actress, Anashua Majumdar will also play important parts. Samragnee Banerjee has penned the story, screenplay and dialogue. The film is set to hit theatres on Women’s Day on March 8. Mukherjee Dar Bou will be the first ever Bengali film to celebrate the day by coming up with an all-woman cast story directed by a woman filmmaker for women.
