For years, we have been watching and rooting for our favourite shows from West as they competed at the International Emmy Awards. But this year, we Indians, have reasons to be happy and proud of. Netflix's Sacred Games gets a nomination for the ‘Best Drama Series’ at the International Emmy Award. The series directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui became a game-changer for the Indian entertainment industry.
RSVP Movies and Ashi Dua’s Lust Stories also got nominated under the ‘Best TV Movie/ Mini Series’. Lust Stories, an anthology of four short films on lust and desire, directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee grabbed a lot of attraction.
Radhika Apte received a nomination for ‘Best Performance by an Actress’ for Lust Stories.
Sharing the excitement, Netflix India took to Twitter and wrote, "To all the bhaus we've loved before. Congratulations on the #InternationalEmmy nomination, Anurag Kashyap and @VikramMotwane"
