Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Tiger Zinda Hai had more audience in first week than their recent release, Bharat

Actor Salman Khan is known for generally releasing his films during the festival of Eid and the occasion has mostly proved to be lucky for Khan in terms of the box office performance. The same happened with his recent release Bharat. However, his highest grosser, Tiger Zinda Hai, was released during Christmas and the film is the third highest grosser of all the Hindi releases till now. Interestingly, both the films are directed by Ali Abaas Zafar and feature Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead.

Now, let us compare the first week footfalls of both the films in the four biggest cinema chains of India - PVR, Inox, Carnival and Cinepolis. As per the below given table, in the first week of the films' release, Tiger Zinda Hai had double the audience coming to cinemas as compared to Bharat, even though Bharat had a nine-day week while Tiger Zinda Hai had a seven-day week.
