Bhumika Chawla impressed us with her roles in films like Yuvakudu, Okkadu and Simhadri, moved from playing leading lady to supporting roles quite effortlessly. She’s never been in a hurry to extend her filmography, but has never missed the chance to be the part of a film that offers her the chance to something different. She has been a fervent believer of the motto that rather than focusing on the length of the character, the impact that it creates should be gauged. And continuing in the same vein, she will be seen in U-Turn. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual which hits the screens tomorrow, September 13 stars Samantha Akkineni in the lead role along with Bhumika, Aadhi and Rahul Ravindran in pivotal roles.
Talking about her role in the film Bhumika Chawla says, “An artist gets recognition when they do different and challenging roles and it satisfies them as well. My role in U Turn is unlike what I have done in the past. I’m excited to see the audience reaction about my performance.”
This is not the first time that the actress is sharing screen with another heroine. She has never let that bother her work nor her choice of films. Talking about Samantha, her co-star in U-Turn, Bhumika says, “She is a terrific actress and on the sets, she is energetic and in this film, she did an extraordinary job.”
