Indian television shows have always had a prominent space in every household of the country. One such is the medical drama, Sanjivani, which was quite popular among the viewers in 2002. The fans of the show are quite excited that after 17 years a reboot of the show, Sanjivani 2 has started streaming on TV.
Not only the fans but the cast of the show has also been equally excited for the show. The original show, that ran for three years, featured Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli in the lead and the reboot will also have both of them along with Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna.
Monish expressed his excitement to an online news portal by saying that it’s a feeling of homecoming for him. Talking about the motto of the show, he says, “Sanjivani always had a motto and shall continue to function the same even today - focusing on the patients’ needs first and then the rest of it.”
Bahl also spoke about the current situation of the medical industry in India. “I’d be untruthful if I say that, when it comes to health care and hospitals, nothing has changed. On the contrary, over the years, the medical fraternity has transformed in a way where we have a bigger and better chain of hospitals which come with top-notch equipment and also higher prices which somewhere could supersede patient’s ‘healthcare first’ and causes financial stress,” he said.
