The third season of 13 Reasons Why is back! Netflix took to social media to announce the news. They also stated that the series will start streaming from August 23. The OTT giant released the official trailer of the third season of the show where it posed the intriguing question of ‘Who killed Bryce Walker?’
To refresh your memories, Bryce Walker is one of the reasons behind Hannah’s death. He was responsible for raping Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) and Jessica Davis (Alisha Boe). The teaser gives us a glimpse that Dylan Minnette’s Clay is the main subject of investigation in Bryce’s death.
The second season ended with Clay, Jessica and Justin Foley (Brandon Flynn) standing outside Liberty High School after talking Tyler Down (Devin Druid) out of the school shooting. The third season will hopefully give us answers to a whole lot of questions.
The first two seasons revolved around the suicide of sophomore Hannah. The series, themed on mental health and bullying, garnered positive reviews and grabbed a lot of headlines. 13 Reasons Why also received a lot of backlash for its dark themes. Jay Asher’s book on which the Netflix Original series is based was banned from the libraries of several schools. Many said that the series glorified teen suicide. A study revealed after the series started streaming, an increase in suicide rates has been recorded.
According to a report in a leading Hollywood magazine, the show will have a fourth season which will mark the finale season of 13 Reasons Why.
