A film, big or small, is most likely to make good numbers over the first weekend of its release due to the holiday factor but it is Mondays that decide whether the film will sustain through the week and after or will show a dip in collections as the first week ends. Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur-starrer Super 30 has sustained strongly on its first weekday by earning Rs 6.92 crore on Monday, which denotes the long run of the film in theatres and the positive word-of-mouth among the audience.
If we compare its Monday collections with its day one (which is Rs 11.83 crore), the weekday numbers are 58.49 per cent of the film's first day earnings. This makes Super 30 stand at eighth position after Luka Chuppi (Rs 7.37 crore) as far as the first Monday numbers are concerned. Super 30 surpassed the first Monday numbers of De De Pyaar De by 11.79 per cent. DDPD had earned Rs 6.19 crore on its first Monday.
The top five Monday grossers of 2019 are Kabir Singh (Rs 17.08 crore), URI: The Surgical Strike (Rs 10.40 crore), Total Dhamaal (Rs 9.76 crore), Bharat (Rs 8.83 crore) and Kesari (Rs 7.95 crore).
