Earlier it was reported that actor Rana Daggubati stepped out of the Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India due to his health issues. However, after a long wait, the makers have finally announced his replacement. As per the reports, Sharad Kelkar, who was recently been appreciated in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has been roped in for the part.
The actor shared his excitement on being part of the film. In a recent interview with a leading daily, he said, “ Bhuj has a lot of action and since Rana might take a couple of months to recover, Abhishek offered me this part. I’d told him I’d love to be a part of his debut film. I have a good bond with Ajay (co-star Devgn) sir and Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) sir as well.”
Written-directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Ammy Virk, and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles.
Bhuj: The Pride of India, a Gulshan Kumar presentation along with T-Series and Select Media Holdings LLP, jointly celebrate the courage of Karnik and his team. The film is produced by Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Abhishek Dudhaiya. The film is slated to release on Independence Day 2020.
