There is no direct similarity between the top Hindi and Hollywood grossers of 2019 (until now), URI: The Surgical Strike and Avengers: Endgame in terms of their budget and revenue. But other than that, they both have been released in approximately 1300+ screens in their first week, both of them were non-holiday releases which did amazing numbers in their respective industries and both were released in less than 50 multiplexes. However, URI is a massy film while Avengers targets a particular set of audience.
If we take a look at the table below, the number of theatres in which URI released is higher than that of Avengers. URI released in 49 Multiplexes and Avengers: Endgame was released in 45 multiplexes in its first week. On the other hand, the average ticket price (ATP) of Avengers is Rs 270 and ATP of URI is Rs 176; making the ATP of Avengers almost 1.5 times higher than that of the latter. Also, the number of audience that visited the cinema halls in the first week of Avengers are more than double of what URI had in week one.
