Vidya Balan visits Kalinga University to support Dr Achyuta Samanta’s initiative to education

Dr Achyuta Samanta has come a long way to help and educate the orphan and tribal children due to his past experience. Dr Samanta has taken a big initiative to educate the 30,000 children in his foundation "Kalinga Institute of Social Science" which provides free accommodation, food, healthcare and education from class 1 to post-graduation with vocal training to students.

We all know how keen Vidya Balan is working toward social initiatives like education and cleanliness in a rural area. Recently, Vidya Balan visited Kalinga University to support the initiative like "Shiksha Ki Ore" as the Teacher’s day is coming by. She spent the entire day interacting with student and the faculty, listening to their struggle stories and also serving them dinner. She also had a conversation with Dr Achyuta Samanta how he managed to pull off to take such a huge initiative. Vidya Balan was very honoured with the heart-warming welcome by the students.

 

Prashant Shah who has been a line producer of movies like My Name is Khan, Shabana, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu​, Pad Man and many more. Prashant Shah is now coming up with the film Jungle Cry as a solo Producer under his banner Bollywood Hollywood Production, the movie is based on the Dr Achyuta Samanta, starring Abhay Deol and Emily Shah. The film tells the story of 12 tribal kids playing football, who was noticed by Paul Walsh, working in The British Commission, who then went up to Dr Samantha, seeking permission to let the kids play The International rugby tournament. These kids then went on to learn the game from scratch and also won under 14 tournaments.
