Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna worked together in Geetha Govindam. Their chemistry in the film was one of the reasons for the success of the film. They came together for Dear Comrade, but the film got a lukewarm response at the box office. But the two actors are good friends and if reports are to be believed they are both set to make their debuts in Hindi cinema.
No, not together, but in different films. As per reports of an entertainment portal Vijay is expected to be Mumbai later this week for talks for a Hindi film. The actor's Dear Comrade's Hindi rights have been bought by Karan Johar and he had apparently offfered the lead to Vijay as well. But the actor has no interest in doing remakes of his own film.
On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna is reportedly in talks for the remake of the Nani starrer Jersey. The rights have jointly been acquired by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju. Shahid Kapoor's name has been doing the rounds for the lead, but there is no official confirmation.
Whether Vijay and Rashmika make their Hindi debuts, they have some interesting projects in Telugu. Vijay has signed a film with Puri Jagannadh and also launched the first film under his production banner. Rashkima is the lead in Mahesh Babu's next Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Stay tuned to Box Office India for more updates from the world of Telugu cinema.
