After AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho, which released just two weeks apart, it seems there is just no stopping Ayushmann Khurrana. The actor, who started his film career with Vicky Donor in 2012, has become a name to reckon with. With Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Badhaai Ho clocking massive numbers at the box office, he is quite the bankable star of our times. Which is why he is also one of the most sought-after actors today.
Soon after Badhaai Ho, the actor dove straight into Dream Girl. In the Balaji Telefilms venture, he will be seen cross-dressing and experimenting in different voices to surprise his fans. The actor recently wrapped Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15, where he will be seen in a completely different avatar. He will play a cop in the film who investigates a case of three teenage girls gone missing.
He will return to his zone with Bala, a slice-of-life film where Khurrana’s Bala suffers from premature balding. A few days ago, the makers of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan announced the second instalment in the franchise, where Khurrana will play a man who falls in love with another man. The actor exclusively told us about how he looks up to the legend, Amitabh Bachchan. With Gulabo Sitabo, ‘aaj ka Amol Palekar’, as David Dhawan once called him, he will be sharing screen space with his icon. The quirky family comedy is all set to hit screens in November.
Now that is an impressive line-up! We wish AK all the very best!
