Week 1 footfalls comparison: Mission Mangal v/s Kabir Singh

Jagan Shakti's multi-starrer film Mission Mangal recorded an amazing week one by collecting Rs 123.45 crore at the box office and the film is in no mood to slow down even in the second week. The film is now the highest earning film of Akshay Kumar's career and is also among the top five grossers of the year.

On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh took the position of the highest grosser of 2019 as it collected Rs 268 crore in its lifetime. In the table given below, we have compared the week one footfalls of both the films in cinema halls. In the top four cinema chains of India - PVR, Inox, Carnival and Cinepolis, the footfalls of Mission Mangal is 42.69 per cent higher than that of Kabir Singh. The week one occupancy of Mission Mangal in PVR it was 76.12 per cent of Kabir Singh, in Inox it was 69.07 per cent, in Carnival it was 58.42 per cent and in Cinepolis it was 76.31 per cent. Not to miss, Mission Mangal was released on a National holiday and had an eight-day week while Kabir Singh is a non-holiday film having a seven-day week.
