Whoa! Karan Johar announces the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade

We have all seen how the remake of the 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy has done wonders at the box office recently. The Hindi version, Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani has become a rage across the country and become the highest grossing Hindi film of 2019 so far.

And it seems that Karan Johar is following the footsteps of Kabir Singh makers and has already bought the rights of Arjun Reddy lead actor, Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film, Dear Comrade.

Vijay, who has become the heartthrob of many with his role in Arjun Reddy, was seen in Mumbai today to watch Dear Comrade with Karan and his team. Soon after the screening, the Dharma Productions head-honcho took to social media platforms to announce that his production house will be helming the Hindi remake of the film soon.

KJo also mentioned that he was the first person to see Dear Comrade and is in awe of the powerful and intense love story showcased in it. The producer-director praised the lead cast along with the directors and producers of the film.

Dear Comrade is directed by Bharat Kamma and produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Mohan Cherukuri (CVM), Yash Rangineni. Along with Vijay, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna. It will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages on July 26, 2019.
