Yami Gautam is returning to her roots as she has bought a farm in Gohar, Himachal Pradesh. As per the source of a leading daily, she is going back there this November to learn organic farming.
In an interview with a leading daily she talked about this and said, “We started organic farming last year on a small scale. I don’t know anything about organic farming techniques and it is something you learn over time. So, after I finish the last schedule of Ginny Weds Sunny in Manali, I’ll take off to my farm for four-five days to focus on it. My family will also join me from Chandigarh to help plan the future produce, learn more about eco-friendly equipment and new techniques of farming.”
On adding to this she also said, “We grew as many vegetables in our backyard as possible, like eggplants, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, chillies and coriander. We used to pluck them fresh and make sabzi. The idea is to eat healthily.”
She further added, “It’s so different from what I do, a parallel life I’d love to pursue. When we’re busy hustling and bustling through our city life and stress, this process makes you feel closer to nature.”
On the work front, Yami Gautam next is Vinod Bachchan's Ginny Weds Sunny, with Vikrant Massey and Amar Kaushik's Bala with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar along with a yet untitled film opposite Diljit Dosanjh.
