Yoodlee Films' KD nominated at the Asian American International Film Festival-read details

Yoodlee Films' forthcoming Tamil film KD, has been garnering accolades at film festivals all across. Continuing its festival run, KD was screened at the Asian American International Film Festival and was the only Indian film to be nominated this year. A film about a friendship between two of the most disparate of individuals, the film revolves around the life of an old a villager named Karuppadurrai, who finds an unlikely ally in a young orphan, who then set out to complete a bucket list of activities of the former.

The Asian American International Film Festival is the first and longest-running festival that has acknowledged and showcased Asian American cinema. Taking place in New York, the festival celebrates the work done by filmmakers of Asian descent. KD has been written and directed by Madhumita.

"It is our constant endeavour to make films across genres and languages that break stereotypes and boundaries, engaging the viewer by its sheer brilliance of storytelling. KD is one such film and we are glad to see the love it has received from festivals from all across. The Asian American International Film Festival is a prestigious platform for KD to be screened and its an honour to be nominated here", says Siddharth Anand Kumar, VP Films and TV and Producer at Yoodlee Films.

Yoodlee Films' last was titled Noblemen and received great praise for the compelling story and realistic depiction of a thorny topic like bullying in schools and colleges. Six of the production house's recent films have gone on the digital giant Netflix.
